| GDC RS Pura organizes online lecture on "Malnutrition" | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 20: NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) RS Pura organized an informative online lecture on the topic "Malnutrition" under the guidance of worthy Principal Dr GS Rakwal and supervision of Prof Bindu Kumari, NSS Programme Officer. The resource person of the session was Dr Yashika Sheetal. The proceedings of the programme were initiated by Prof. Vijay Kumari with welcome address. Dr.Yashika Sheetal talked to the students about the importance of physical exercises, side effects of skipping breakfast, role of balanced diet especially in the young generation, Obesity and malnutrition. She emphasized on the growing problem of anemia and anorexia in the adolescent youth and stressed on the importance of balanced diet. This was followed by a group discussion. The event was concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof Sukhwinder Kaur. The principal of the college appreciated the efforts of NSS committee and encouraged the volunteers to actively take part in such events. |
