| GDC Ukhral celebrates International Peace Day | | |

JAMMU, Sept 21: Government Degree College (GDC) Ukhral celebrated International Peace Day today by conducting an online essay competition on the theme "Peace and Progress". Before the competition, the Patron of the college Dr Ranvijay Singh in his message to student community highlighted the importance of peace for progress of all walks of life. He said that in a war- torn world of ours, we should strengthen and work for the high standards of peace. More than hundred students participated in the competition. The first prize winner was Unchal Singh of 4th semester. Nirjala Devi of 2nd Semester secured second prize, while as, Mohd Tamseed and Asiya Ajaz of 1st semester were declared third prize winners jointly.
