DF&SS takes out rally against shortage of water
9/24/2021 11:28:24 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 24: The workers of DOGRA FRONT & SHIV SENA under the leadership of President Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally in Jammu city against non availability of water in Jammu.
The protestors were carrying empty buckets in there hands to signify the shortage of water in Jammu.
People of Jammu are being deprived of basic facilities and the water supply to the city is extremely poor.
The shortage of power supply has led to scarcity of water in the city. The residents in the Jammu region are grappling with the erratic water supply.
Jal Shakti department says that due to no availability of electricity the water cannot be pumped from the pumping stations which lead to the shortage of water supply but on the contrary big massive generators have been installed at the pumping stations in Kashmir which keeps the supply going and the same should,be done in Jammu as well, Gupta stated.
We are forced to sit on the road as a mark of protest against officials of the Jal Shakti Department who have remained callous. We understand that sitting on the road amid the Corona pandemic is full of risk to catch infection but we have no other option and we don't want our children to die out of thirst, one of the residents of Karan Nagar said.
