GDC Basohli celebrates the World Environmental Health Day

Jammu, Sept 25: 4th J&K Battalion of NCC Jammu, GDC Basohli organised ‘Poster Making’ and ‘Slogan Writing’ competitions on the occasion of World Environmental Health Day in the college under the aegis of “AZADI KA AMRUT MAHOTSAV”.
The event commenced with the address by the worthy Principal, Dr. Nidhi Kotwal. She said that the society is going through difficult times due to COVID-19 pandemic.
She added that we have to overcome these hindrances and as per the theme of World Environmental Health Day 2021, prioritize the environmental health for healthier communities in global recovery.
Dr. Papinder Kumar, ANO, 4th J&K Battalion of NCC Jammu then briefed the students about Poster Making and Slogan Writing competitions and its rules. A total of twenty seven students participated in the competitions. The events were judged by Dr. Papinder Kumar, Dr. Shiv Mangal, and Dr. Jeevan Kumar.
First, second, and third positions in Slogan writing were bagged by Sushil Singh, Abhimanyu Pathania, and Mukesh Kumar, respectively.
In Poster making competition, Nirmal Singh stood first whereas second and third positions were won by Abhi Sharma and Arun Verma, respectively.
