It is worth mentioning that in the webinar more than 700 stakeholders from all across the country including scientists, academicians, researchers, students and farmers registered their participation. The main focus of the webinar was to provide a common platform to all the stakeholders to deliberate, discuss and share their experiences to generate awareness on the potential prospects of the traditional agricultural practices based on traditional wisdom to transform present day agriculture.
Getting an impetus from the resolve of doubling the farmers income and to make Bharat self reliant in agriculture and allied sectors taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and to address the issues being faced by the present day input intensive agriculture, webinar on traditional agriculture was organized. In the webinar, Vice-Chancellors of five state Agricultural Universities and traditional universities and directors of national level bodies were among the lead speakers and panelists. The deliberations during the webinar remained fruitful in percolating and strongly converged a message that adoption of traditional agricultural practices with appropriate blending of modern technologies is the only way to overcome multifarious problems in present day agriculture and to achieve perpetual food security and agrarian prosperity.
