Jammu, Sept 29: Hailing decision of organizing Beating Retreat Ceremony on Suchetgarh Border, Rakesh Gupta, President of The Jammu Pharmaceutical Distributors Association & Ex President of Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Jammu expressed his profound gratitude to the Central Government for kick starting this initiative which in longer run will boost tourism sector and will give fillip to Jammu economy. Rakesh Gupta conveyed his special thanks to Dr. Jitendra Singh, MOS to PMO, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP and Sh. Avinash Rai Khanna, Former MP for putting in their efforts to see this historic event on International Border see the light of the day . He said it was he and his team in 2015 as President of JCCI, who had visualised holding of Beating Retreat by BSF at Suchetgarh on the pattern of Attari - Wagah Border, Amritsar. To give final shape to his vision, Rakesh Gupta, extended invitation to Avinash Rai Khanna, then sitting MP, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP & Dr. Narinder Singh National Secretary of BJP to visit the Chamber House on September 2015. Discussing matter in detail, Rakesh Gupta, explained to senior BJP leaders about the significance and importance of Beating Retreat Ceremony. After convincing them he handed over written request in this regard to both the MP’s. |
