Rakesh kick starts development works in ward No 6 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 29: Rakesh Malhotra councillor ward no 6 kick started the development works in his ward in form of drains on demand of locals. The work of central drain with, slab and gratings started in Raja Bazar Akhnoor from Tokia cloth house to Radha Krishan Mandir. On this occasion Ex chairman MC Akhnoor and Councillor ward no 11 Depesh singh, Deepak Manni Councillor Ward no. 10, Shilpa Mahajan Councillor ward No. 5, Navratan, Ashok Gupta, Adv Pankaj Gupta, Anil Sharma, Ramesh Tokia, Sahil Gupta, Vicky Langer were also present. While addressing the media Rakesh Malhotra said that the estimated cost of work is around 40 lacs. He said that this drain is common drain for people of ward no 4, 5 and 6 which will benefit the public at large. He said total work which were identified in various ward are costing 1cr 47 lakhs out of which few are complete and few are in progress. He said oftentimes we have seen the walls of houses got damaged due to drains when ever constructed along their houses hence we have initiated this work constructing the drain in the center of lane which will not effect any of houses and also will not effect the total width of the lane. He said that priority of MC Akhnoor is to provide better lane and drains. He told MC Akhnoor members are seriously working over the various issues of Akhnoor town and soon a suitable project for drainage for nirdosh chowk and bus stand will also be started. |
