EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 1: The first AC Parcel Express Train consisting of twenty 2nd AC/3rd AC coaches, carrying refrigerated cargo departed from Sanehwal, Ferozpur Division for Yeshwantpur in South Western Railway today.
Ashutosh Gangal, General Manager Northern Railway, while sharing the information said this is for the first time ever that AC passenger carrying coaches (ICF/ Conventional passenger coaches) have been utilized for transporting cargo, weighing 121 tonnes consisting of edible snacks ,chocolates, raw material for chocolates , maggi noodles, sauce) and textiles etc. Gangal appreciated the efforts and cooperation of all the officers and staff for operating the first AC Parcel Express Train.
