GCPF expresses concern over rising prices of essential commodities | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 9: General Category People's Front (GCPF) held its meeting today under the chairmanship of Raj Kumar Banathia, Chairman of Front to discuss the socio-economic policies of government. Front expressed concern over the unprecedented price rise of essential commodities including diesel, petrol and LPG. he uncontrolled inflation is due to wrong economic policies of Modi Government which inflicted a lot of miseries upon people of the country, said Yash Paul Sanson, President of the Front. He added that Modi as Prime Minister has lost the ability to grasp what people wanted, will cost BJP dear. Govt has been working like a Corporate House with sole aim of imposing heavy taxes on people, exploiting them in the name of nationalism and development. BJP has been losing popularity because of downfall of Indian economy. Sanson appealed to govt to chalk out a strategy to check price rise which is a big deception, providing benefits to the rich. Som Nath Sharma, General Secretary said that govt has denied access to basic fundamental rights on basis of caste, class and religion or economic status. He appealed the govt to consider enacting a law to ensure universal enforcement of the principles of equality, justice and non-discrimination. VK Sharma, Vice President criticized government for continuous suppression of General category people on the basis of their caste, class and religion. If it does not stop, it will have serious consequences for BJP Government at the Centre. He asked the Modi govt for the removal of restrictions imposed on the application of basis fundamental rights. Deepak Khajuria, Dr Bansi Lal, Bhushan Pargal, Gopal Dass Verma, Surinder Kumar and Vijay Kumar also expressed their views in the meeting. They unanimously pointed finger towards the economic policies of Modi govt. |
