FDP on "Direct Trainer's Skills and Evaluation of Training" concludes

JAMMU, Oct 9: A five-day long online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Direct Trainers' Skills and Evaluation of Training" organized by Teacher Education Wing, SCERT J&K, Jammu Division concluded here today.
The programme was organized on the directions of Principal Secretary to Government, School Education Department, BK Singh, and under the guidance of Director SCERT J&K, Professor Veena Pandita and overall supervision of Joint Director SCERT J&K, Jammu Division, Surinder Kumar.
The participants of the programme were 50 officers from 10 DIETs of Jammu Division who have attended the Faculty Development Programs on "Training Needs Analysis" and "Design of Training and Implementation".
The FDP in DTS and EOT was third in series of Faculty Development Programmes, the "Training Needs Analysis" and "Design of Training and Implementation" being the first and second, respectively. The objective of the programme was to develop the basic instructional skills and the skills of assessing the impact and effectiveness of the training programs, among the trainees.
With the accomplishment of the programme, the Teacher Education Wing of SCERT J&K, Jammu Division has trained a group of five faculty members from each DIET of Jammu division; thus, making them skilled in conducting any training programme in desired and efficient manner. The resource persons in the program were Dr JN Baliya, Head of Department of Educational Studies, Central University of Jammu, Prof Dr Reva Sharma, Director, Trainings, IMPARD J&K Jammu. Dr VPS Raju, Assistant Professor, NIEPA, NCERT, New Delhi, Dr Sunita Zalpuri, Formerly Dean and Head, Centre for Good governance, IMPARD J&K.
In the valedictory session, the Joint Director SCERT J&K, Jammu Division, asked the participants to play a key role in conducting the training programs as per the knowledge and skills imparted in the three Faculty Development Programmes. The programme concluded with the presentation of vote of thanks by Pawan Gupta, Associate Professor, Head of Teacher Education Wing in which he expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to make the Program successful. The programme was coordinated by Rakhi Atri, Academic Officer, SCERT J&K, Jammu. Other members of the coordinating team included Vaishali, Sr AO, Dr Sabeta Kohli, AO, Kuldeep Kumar, AO, Raj Kumar, AO, Akash Khajuria, Teacher, Yugal Kishore, Teacher and Avinakshi Kargotra, Statistical Officer.
