| Col Mahan Singh performs ritual Puja of Neyali Bridge in Mahanpur | | |

MAHANPUR, Oct 13: Col Mahan Singh (Retd) District Development Council (DDC) Chairman, Kathua today performed the ritual Puja amid chanting of Vedic Mantras to start the construction work of Neyali Bridge in Mahanpur Block here today.
The foundation stone of this bridge was laid by MP Lok Sabha MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh three years back, but the work had to be stalled due to abrupt onslaught of Corona Pandemic. Addressing the Mahan said that this much needed bridge will provide vital connectivity between Mahanpur and Dhar Mahanpur Block of Basohli Sub Division thus benefiting more than 50000 people living in the remote areas of this region.
He said that this 107 meter long span of bridge including 5 Km long road access on both the sides will cost the exchequer around Rs. 10.5 crore with the completion of work on this project within two years. The DDC Chairman thanked PM Narendra Modi for reaching out to people living in remote and isolated areas through various central schemes and projects.
