| Provide minorities protection from militant attacks: TMF | | |

JAMMU, Oct 14: Team Mask Force (TMF) chairman Vijay Sharma appealed LG Manoj Sinha and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to ensure protection to minorities from militant attacks in JKUT. In a statement issued to media pointing out that terror attacks in the Union Territory this year has claimed the lives of 28 civilians cutting across religious lines.
All of us should try to put up all out efforts to ensure that we do not see a fresh exodus of minorities from Kasmir and no community feels safer than the other, said Sharma.
It will not be out of place to point out that last week as many as seven people were murdered by the terrorists within and outside Srinagar brutally using mainly pistols. If we go by the version of police it blamed separatist militants who want to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in Union Territory by terrorizing people.
Undoubtedly, such cowardly act is a conspiracy to target the local ethos and values, besides breaking communal harmony and brotherhood in Union Territory, added Sharma. |
