Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 14: Live For Others-Being Helpful Foundation (LFO-BHF) organized an awareness programme to save Surya Putri Tawi on the occasion of Maha Navmi with the support of Jammu & Kashmir Pollution Control Committee. During the campaign to Save Surya Putri Tawi different virtual and physical awareness programmes were conducted and on the last day of their activity, the team members of LFO-BHF gathered together near Bikram Chowk to carry out an awareness drive to aware people about social distancing at this crucial time and be environment-friendly by not throwing plastic, their earthen pots and other non-decomposable materials in the water. The team requested everyone there to keep in mind that the plastic thrown in water bodies or even on the roads can be a major threat to the health of every living being. The volunteers of the organization collected the puja material except the religious 'Saakh' on the entry and didn't allow people to throw any type of waste in the holy River Tawi. The organization distributed masks among those people who were without masks there and initiated a campaign of save Tawi in which they pasted a big chart on one of the walls on the entrance and made aware people how to cooperate with them in this campaign and asked devotees to write something on the chart regarding this campaign and took signatures of them.The volunteers present on the occasion were Vishal Singh, Abhinandan, Jyoti, Robin, Rubina, Sourav, Iream, Arzoo, Arya, Stuti, Sahil, Dev Shubham, Vishavjeet and many more. |
