| Warwan people hold protest against conspicuous absence of Kashmir based doctor from duty | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 14: The people in remote Warwan area of Kishtwar District held a strong protest at Inshan, tehsil headquarter against the conspicuous absence of Kashmir based doctor who was appointed by the government at Allopathic Heath and Welfare Center Inshan in March 2021.
The protesters were led by Abdul Rehman Hajam, Imam Jamia Masjid Inshan wherein people alleged that the doctor identified by them as Dr. Owais, native of Shopian District of South Kashmir mostly remains missing from his duty adding that since his joining, people are unaware of his whereabouts.
The angry people alleged that during last seven months, the said doctor has attended his duty merely for few days just to get his attendance marked on attendance registered. The people alleged that the officials of the department flashed the signal to the doctor to reach Inshan since the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) had plan to visit adding that after seeing the doctor arriving at Inshan, the ward members of Panchayat Inshan along with local people inquired from the doctor about his continuous absence from duty.
The people informed that they also brought the matter into the notice of senior officials of health department and also to the administration, but nothing has been done so far and called upon the government and the administration to take immediate action against the delinquent officer beside also urged upon the government to recover the salaries if any paid to Dr. Owais since he had not attended his duties since his posting at Inshan health center |
