| Civilian killings in Kashmir, encounters on LoC results of wrong polices: Vijay Sharma | | |

JAMMU, Oct 16: Chairman of Team Mask Force, Vijay Sharma, on Saturday said that the spurt in civilian killings by the militants in the Valley and the two major encounters on the Line of Control may have come as surprise, but it is the result of policies pursued by government in the matters of JKUT.
Sharma said, "After the revocation of Articles 370&35-A on August 5,2019 J&K is witnessing more violence. Tall claims of normalcy in the Union Territory are hoax. Killings of security forces and now civilians including minorities have proved the hollowness of claims. J&K needs healing touch again."
"The fear psychosis created amongst minorities needs to be taken care of seriously. Fighting insurgency is a combination of winning the hearts and minds and neutralising the hardcore militants. The former is an important if not more,than the latter. It has been seen the world over that if people are alienated then the government's development agenda doesn't deliver," Sharma said. |
