| Negligence of goverment in appointing VC's in higher institutes: ABVP | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 16: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu & Kashmir has expressed deep concern on appointment of Vice Chancellor's in Central University of Jammu and Jammu University. Addressing a press conference ABVP Jammu & Kashmir State Secretary, Mukesh Manhas said that Prof. Sanjeev Jain's appointment as Central University of Jammu Vice Chancellor was notified on July 19th 2021, but he has not joined so far. He further said how long the wait has to be made for him to join. He said that it is almost one and half year now that the CUJ is not having a regular VC. He said the post of VC is of great importance for the development and smooth functioning of a University and to take the University to new heights, but the government is not looking serious in appointment of VC. "In Jammu University also the Vice Chancellor's time has been completed from the month of June and till now no search committee has been formed for the appointment of Vice Chancellor. Even no one knows the current VC of Jammu University is on extension or not because no information has come in public domain regarding the extension. The government should clear it and provide information for the same," said Mukesh. |
