| Shiv Sena prays for restoration of peace in J&K while celebrating Chhoti Deepawali | | |

JAMMU, Nov 3: Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit today wished for restoration of peace in Jammu and Kashmir offering prayers on the occasion of Roop Chaudas popularly called as Chhoti Deepawali. Shiv Sainiks displayed splendid fireworks to celebrate the festive occasion.
Led by party state president Manish Sahni, Shiv Sainiks lighted 101 lamps at Mukherjee Chowk in Ambphalla. While invoking the blessings on the auspicious occasion they prayed for economic progress, brotherhood and restoration of peace in Jammu & Kashmir. Sahni said that there is a belief that by worshiping on this day, one gets freedom from all the troubles in life.
Recalling the mythological events, he said that it is on this day that Lord Krishna, Kali Mata, Yama and Hanuman are worshipped. The Shiv Sena President said that the historic victory of Shiv Sena candidate Kalaben Mohanlal Delkar from Dadar and Nagar Haveli Lok Sabha constituency has doubled the joy of Shiv Sainiks on this Diwali. |
