Sunrise Public School celebrates Diwali | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 3: Sunrise Public School celebrated Diwali with great enthusiasm and fervour. The school was decorated on this occasion with diyas and lights hoping that this festival of light brings bright sparkles of joy and happiness in everyone's life. To make it a joyful day for the Satyans, a cultural extravaganza was presented by the teachers. Kiran of Class 3rd presented speech to express their affection for the students. Vidya, Saloni, Neha and Ritu of Class 6th presented poem on Diwali. The School marked Diwali celebrations with 160 children and elderly people of slum area of Channi Himmat. Teachers distributed eatables things, books, and fruits and encouraged children to set goals in life and work hard towards them. The function concluded with the address by Manpreet Kour Director, Sunrise Public School. She offered her warm wishes to the children and reiterated that children should celebrate eco-friendly Diwali in its purest form by lighting lamps and sharing with the less fortunate. An Inter-House Rangoli, Diya Decoration and special card making competitions were also organized in the school. The students displayed their talents by decorating the classes and corridors with vibrant colours, intricate Rangoli designs and various other embellishments. Rajesh Sharma took the round of the campus. He appreciated the creativity displayed by the students in the form of Rangoli, cards and diya. The whole school reverberated with energy and enthusiasm. The festival of fun and excitement came to an end with loads of joy and happiness sparkling on the faces of every student.
