JKTJAC raises various issues of teaching fraternity | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 3: Jammu Kashmir Teachers' Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) while raising the burning issues of teachers sought favour of the Education Department in the High Court for getting inclusion of 5 years Rehabr-e-Taleem (ReT) period for seniority benefits as those appointed as ReTs have devoted this period on meager pay. Addressing a press conference here today, President JKTJAC, Vinod Sharma said demanded comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT Scheme as they have been working in the same schools for last more than 21 years and suffering badly. Raising the issue of old pension scheme in favour of NPS employees he said that all such employees be provided old pension scheme so that their post retirement life not be in trouble. Thanking the Finance Department for releasing NPS funds before Diwali he requested for streamlining the same so that the NPS employees do not suffer due to frequent delay. He further requested the DSEJ to regularize the pending ReTs who are due for the same since long. Meanwhile, on the occasion, senior leader of Rehabr-e-Taleem Teachers Forum Aftab Malik joined JKTJAC and was inducted in the UT body as UT vice chairman, Surjit Singh Chib was inducted as UT Vice President and Ravinder Manhas was elected as District President Jammu Mohinder Partap Singh was elected as Zonal President Zone Jourian. The elected leaders assured to work with full dedicated and come up to the expectations of the teachers. Sukhdev Singh Sumeria UT Secretary, Rajesh Jamwal Provincial president Jammu, Sukesh Khajuria Chief Press and Media Secretary and others were also present on the occasion. |
