Course on menace of narcotics concludes at SKPA Udhampur | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Nov 3: The 3-day long course on "Increasing Menace of Narcotics among Youths-challenges, handling and Investigation of NDPS cases" culminated at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur. 13 officers from various Police Units/wings underwent the said course. The course was designed to analyze the various factors responsible for growing drug peddling among different nations and to aware the participants about the legal aspects to handle the cases related to Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances. In his valedictory address, Mohan Lal, SSP, Dy Director (Indoor) SKPA laid stress on determining the origins and pathways of drug abuse and addiction so that protective factors could be placed well on time. He also called upon the police officers to implement the learning on field so that menace of narcotics could be controlled which has significant impact on Social & Ethical issues in the society. The certificates of participation were also given away by the Dy Director SKPA Udhampur and his team. The audience was informed that organizing such courses for capacity building is the vision of our DGP J&K and unrelenting efforts of Director SKPA, Udhampur. The valediction was attended by Suraj Singh, Asstt Director (Trgs./R&D), KK Sharma, Asstt. Director (Outdoor), Ramesh Kataria, DySP (S) Private Secretary to Director, Tahir Hussain, Asstt Director (Indoor) (Course Director), Sunmati Gupta, Asstt Director (Admn) and Insp Sanjeev Gupta (Course Secretary). |
