| GDC Kathua organizes online poster making competition | | |

KATHUA, Nov 3: In an effort to spread awareness in the society regarding the harms of using crackers on the occasion of Deepawali, NSS units of Government Degree College Kathua today organized online poster making competition on ‘Say No to Crackers and Celebrate Green Deepawali’. More than 25 volunteers took part in the competition. Volunteers prepared posters containing messages of Say no to crackers and save environment and celebrate green Deepawali. Khushi Jasrotia, Mehak Gupta and Ritika Jasrotia got first, second and third position. Nitish Pansotra, Tanya Jasrotia, Tanya Mehra and Kashish Pathania were acknowledged with consolation prizes. The event was judged by Prof Rajneesh Sharma, Dr Kamaldeep Singh and Dr Shamsher Singh. Volunteers also took pledge to celebrate Green Deepawali and distribute sweets and needy things among their neighbours on the occasion of Deepawali. Volunteers are also directed to share their posters of ‘Say No to Crackers and Celebrate Green Deepawali’ on their social accounts. The event was organized under the patronage of Incharge Principal Prof Raj Kiran Sharma and under the supervision of NSS Programme Officers- Prof Manmohan Singh, Prof Ritu Kumar Sharma and Prof Neha Bandral. |
