BJYM demands one-time five years age relaxation for SI aspirants | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 8: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, J&K has sought one-time age relaxation for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir in the recruitment of Sub-Inspector in the Police Department. In a statement issued here today, Arun Prabhat, President J&K BJYM unit, said that since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic in 2019, the youth are facing serious consequences due to this lethal virus. He said that it is a cause of serious concern that the unemployed youth whose age has crossed 30, having the least opportunity for government jobs. Prabhat said SSB has advertised UT Cadre 800 post of Sub Inspectors but the maximum age limit for applying this job is 28 which is sheer injustice with the unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir, who have not provided a single opportunity since the outbreak of Covid pandemic. Prabhat said that the J&K government has granted one time age relaxation in JKPC (KPS) exams from 32 years to 37 years and the same relaxation should be given to aspirants of SI posts in J&K Police especially in view of the situation after the pandemic. He demanded that maximum age limit for the open merit aspirants in the recruitment of Sub Inspectors should be 33 years of age by providing a one-time five years age relaxation.
