Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 9: Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit seek to grant separate state status to Jammu to save its cultural identity besides placing it on the rails of progress to ensure peaceful and prosperous Jammu. The demand for separate statehood was raised vociferously during a strong protest demonstration by a large number of Shiv Sainiks led by party state president Manish Sahni at Bari Brahmna, Jammu While reiterating the demand for separate statehood for Jammu, Sahni said that efforts are being made to mislead the people of Jammu by creating a "Jammu Jammu" propaganda and hysteria. Sahni said there is a competition among almost all the leaders of Jammu to label themselves as the real well wishers and benefactors of Jammu. Sahni said that without the rights of Jammu, restoration of statehood and democracy has no meaning. For all the issues including Jammu's identity, development, economic progress and employment, rhetoric in the seminar is not going to work, for this be united and come out to the streets. On this occasion, President Mahila Wing Meenakshi Chibber, Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Vice President Balwant Singh, President Kamgaar wing Raj Singh, Balbir Kumar, Sumit Abrol, Gulam Lone and many others were present. |
