Corporator Rahul organizes awareness campaign on ‘Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani' | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 14: Corporator, Rahul Kumar today organised an awareness campaign on ‘Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani' under Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme in Ward 20 Gandhi Nagar Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, Corporator Rahul Kumar said that the government is keen to provide all the basic amenities to people at their doorsteps and for this every possible step is being taken in the UT of J&K. Kumar said the initiative was taken by the government to facilitate easy online access to the Land Records System, thereby reducing manipulation of the Land records and improving the efficiency of Revenue offices substantially. He said that under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory has achieved an important milestone to provide the most transparent and accountable services to the common people. He said that the main aim is to enhance transparency in the Land records maintenance system and reduce scope of land/property disputes and facilitate conclusive title to immovable properties Kumar said that saving state land from the professional land grabbers is the duty of each and every resident of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir therefore people should remain cautious in this matter and should inform such matters to police and other concerned departments as soon as possible to ensure that no one dents the interests of the UT and the country. Prominent among others who were present include Naib Tehsildar Satish Sharma, Patwari Arun, Rachit Khosla Secretary Gandhi Nagar Mandal, Gharu Bhatti President Valmiki Colony & others. |
