| DYSS Zone Jourian conducts Athletic Championship | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 14: The Department of Youth Services & Sports (DYSS) Zone Jourian conducted Inter-Centre C-DYTE Competition (Athletic Championship) at Ghari Ground Jourian today.
The Athletic meet took off with a vibrant start with the inauguration by the Chief Guest DDC Vice Chairperson Suraj Singh. The opening ceremony started with the display of the C-DYTE Centre’s grit and discipline via March Past, in which students from Block Khour and Tehsil Jourian took part in C-DYTE Centre Ghari Ground Jourian . This was followed by an oath ceremony where the athletes took an oath pledging to put their best foot forward and to not resort to unfair means. The sports meet was declared open after the unfurling of the flag. The meet started with 100mts racing heat events for girls and boys. A series of individual events including 200 Mtr, 400 Mtr, 800 Mtr, 1600 Mtr, 4X100 Relay, Long jump, races were held. A number of group events including relay race were also organized. To honor the winners, medal ceremonies were held where Anil Thakur SDM Khour and ZPEO Jourian felicitated the winners. |
