JAMMU, Nov 14: The Intra-mural Athletic competitions of C-DYTE centre Gurha Brahmana, Block Akhnoor were conducted today at playground of Panchayat Gurha Brahmana, Block Akhnoor under the chairmanship of Anshul Garg, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu and under the overall supervision of Navneet Mann, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Akhnoor Nodal Officer of the centre.
The competitions were organised by the Block Development Office, Akhnoor in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services And Sports, Zone Akhnoor under the supervision of Rupinder Kaur Block Development Officer, Akhnoor and Tarsem Singh Zonal Physical Education Officer, Akhnoor.
SDM Akhnoor was the chief guest and District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu was the guest of honour in the occasion.
35 boy and 30 girl athletes participated in the competitions under the guidance of Vikas Sharma Incharge of the centre.
The officials of YS&S Dept. started the meet with a series of individual and group events including 200 mtr, 400 mtr, 800 mtr, 1600mtr ,3000mtr, 4X100 Relay race, Long Jump and ended it with 100 mts racing heat events for boys and girls.
Prominent among the others were Surinder Singh Tehsildar Akhnoor, Leela Devi Sarpanch Panchayat Gurha Brahmana West, Naib Sarpanch Rattan Lal Sharma, Yash Paul and all officials of YS&S Deptt. |
