ABGGRF constitutes Kathua body, seeks ‘Rashtra Mata’ status for cow | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Nov 28: Akhil Bharatiya Gurukul & Gaushala Research Foundation (ABGGRF), J&K unit, today appointed Ravi Abrol as J&K Vice President while Ravindra Singh was appointed as District President of Kathua body. In this connection, a felicitation ceremony was organised at Kathua on Sunday in which J&K in-charge Advocate PS Chandel, National Youth Secretary Sunil Sharma, State President Rattan Kapoor and State Vice President Sham Lal were present. On the occasion, Manohar Lal Shastri was the chief guest while DySP Shammi Kumar, SHO Vikas Sharma and SHO Amit Sangra were the special guests. The programme started with the lighting of lamp by the dignitaries in front of Mother Cow. During the programme, Devendra Kumar, Anil Chaudhary, Rajindra Kumar, Digvijay Jasrotia and Suraj Prakash Mehta were appointed as District Vice Presidents; Sheetal Mahajan and Naresh Kumar as District General Secretaries, as Bhanu Pratap as District Youth President, Niklesh Singh as District Youth Vice President; Munish Chaudhary, Arun Jasrotia and Harsh Jasrotia as District Youth General Secretaries; Arun Kumar, Amit Kumar, Shiv Kumar, Pranav Kumar, Shivam Kumar and Sandeep Sharma as Secretaries; Dilawar Singh, Bhagwan Dass and Gyan Din Pathania as District Advisors; Akash Chandan and Sagar Pathania as Youth Secretaries; Rajesh Kumar, Rakesh Kumar and Joginder Kumar were appointed as Executive Members of Kathua unit. The Foundation members honoured youth of Dinga Amb for their major contribution in preventing cow smuggling in their area. They appealed to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to come forward and make all possible efforts in preventing the bovine smuggling in the Union Territory. While addressing the programme, the foundation members laid stress on implementation of laws pertaining to cow protection in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. They asserted that the Foundation is playing a vital role in protection of cows from some anti-social elements. They urged the Union Government to take adequate steps for announcing ‘Rashtra Mata’ status to cow without any further delay. They also appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to come forward for the protection of cows and extend all possible support to the organization. The Foundation members strongly urged the Central Government to take necessary steps for setting up of an independent Cow Welfare Ministry which will help in boosting programmes and projects for the protection of cows across the country in general and J&K UT in particular. The programme concluded with distribution of Prasad among the participants. |
