JAMMU, Nov 28: Expressing serious concern over the alleged apathy and neglect of Kol Kandoli Temple by Union Territory Administration especially Jammu and Kashmir’s Tourism Department, Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit has urged the government to take due care of the aforesaid temple which is considered to be the first Darshan of Shree Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage. The concern was expressed after the Shiv Sena team led by the party state president Manish Sahni visited the sacred temple here today. Later addressing the media persons Shiv Sena President Sahni said that religious sentiments of the Hindus are being hurt due to apathy and neglect viz-a-viz Kol Kandoli temple the reference of which can be found in multiple religious scriptures including the Puranas. This Puranic temple, which has been separated from rail and road, is being neglected. A sacred part of the temple, where the Mata used to swing with her sakhis in the form of a “Kanjak” , is within the boundary wall of the army. This part of the temple was not opened for the devotees under the guise of Corona SOP. Along with this, the demand for installation of sign boards including fixing of parking space outside the temple premises, connecting the temple with the National Highway. While formation of Nagrota unit, Sahni appointed Rohit Sharma as President, Sohan Sharma as Vice President, Rohit Kumar as General Secretary and Vikas Sharma and Shubham Sharma was appointed as the secretary while Satyam Sharma (Mani) and Subhash Sudan were appointed as the chairman. About two dozen youths, including Amit Sharma, Jagdish Sharma, Kuldeep Kumar, Devindra Kumar, Bansi Lal, Vajinder Sharma, Mohindra Sharma, Kuldeep Raj, Tony Ram, Jeet Kumar, Joginder Sharma, Dharampal, Sanjay Sharma, Suresh Sharma, joined Shiv Sena. On this occasion President Women’s Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Vice President Sanjeev Kohli, Balwant Singh, President Workers’ Wing Raj Singh, Yuva President Binny Mahajan, Vice President Rajesh Handa, Pawan Singh, Sumit Abrol were present. |
