Maiden meeting of newly constituted JK School Education Employees Front held

JAMMU, Nov 28: A joint meeting of Presidents from different forums including Jammu & Kashmir Teachers’ Forum, All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum, School Education Officers Forum (ZEOs and Headmasters), JK United School Teachers’ Association and NPS Employees’ Union was held here at Gandhi Nagar.
The presidents and members from different forums attended the meeting which was headed by Ganesh Khajuria (Chairman) J&K Teachers’ Forum. Threadbare discussions were held in which various issues of the Education Department employees were highlighted.
It was unanimously decided to get united under one umbrella to put forth their demands before the higher authorities. It was also decided to launch a joint struggle to get all the genuine demands fulfilled in a time bound manner.
Stress was also laid on uniting all the remaining forums under one banner. This joint front is named as “JK School Education Employees Front”, which will have its own logo. In future, the meeting of this newly formed front will be held every second Sunday of the month.
Prominent among those present include Ganesh Khajuria (Chairman, J&K Teachers’ Forum), Pardeep Singh Rakwal (President, All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum), Roop Lal (President, School Education Officers’ Forum, ZEOs and Headmasters), Surat Singh Toofani (Secretary, JKTF), Darshan Sharma (Coordinator JKTF), Rajeev Sharma (President, United State Teachers Association), Ashwani Sharma (President, NPS Employees’ Union), Surinder Balgotra (Head Master), Rakesh Chander Bhagat (Senior Head Master), Charan Jeet Singh ( ZEO), Ghar Singh (Senior Lecturer), Dr Ashok Kumar (Senior Lecturer), Youns Rahi (Vice President, J&K USTA), Vijay Verma (Senior Lecturer), Subash Sharma (ZEPO, Bhalwal), Sham Lal (Headmaster), Ashok Kumar Sharma (Headmaster), PD Singh (Master), Manpreet Singh (NPS), KD Singh Manhas (NPS), Gurmeet Singh (NPS), Surinder Kumar (NPS) and others.
