EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Nov 28: The kind of atmosphere prevailing in the country as well as in Jammu and Kashmir at this time is disturbing for every person. Such an increase in the prices of essential commodities has never been seen in history till date. BJP is snatching food from the common man’s plate to extend benefits to a few rich friends, said former chairman of Jammu Municipal Corporation and senior Congress leader Satish Sharma Gangyalia.
He was addressing the public after visiting Block 13 of Gandhi Nagar Constituency in order to listen to the problems of the people.
Satish said that when the Congress was in power at the Center and in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, every poor family used to get 35 kg of ration along with government sugar, but today sugar is not available under BJP rule. He said that the BJP had claimed that after the removal of Article 370, there would be a flood of tourism and employment in Jammu and Kashmir, big companies would invest in Jammu and Kashmir, but today after the removal of Article 370, after 2 years and 3 months have passed, the public is feeling cheated. The youth are protesting on the streets for employment and the businessmen associated with tourism are upset due to non-availability of tourists. He said that he has visited many districts of Jammu division and after listening to the views of the people it now seems that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have made up their mind that once again Congress government has to be formed in Jammu and Kashmir. Attacking the BJP and the central government, Satish said that if you have the courage, then declare the elections by restoring the state status and then see what lesson the people of Jammu and Kashmir teach to the BJP. He assured the people that as soon as the Congress government is formed, many big decisions will be taken for the benefit of the poor laborers and farmers. Sumanpreet Singh, Baldev Singh Wazir, Ashok Gupta, Amrit Malhotra, Congress Ward Block President and many workers were present on this occasion.
