BBIA urges govt to defer retrieval of unutilized land in Industrial Estates | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 30: An urgent meeting of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) was held under the presidentship of Lalit Mahajan to discuss the purported decision of the government to retrieve unutilized land in all Industrial Estates. Tarun Singla, Sr Vice President, Ajay Langer Vice President, Viraaj Malhotra General Secretary, Rajesh Jain Secretary and Vivek Singhal Treasurer BBIA were also present in the meeting. Members present in the meeting shown concern in respect of Govt Order 233-Ind of 2021 dated 22-11-2021 issued by the Industries & Commerce Department for the Nomination of General Manager, JKSIDCO, Jammu and Kashmir Division as Member for eviction process with regard to cancellation of lease deed and eviction of allottees in Industrial Estates managed by J&K SIDCO. Lalit Mahajan, President BBIA, drew the attention of Ranjan Prakash Thakur, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, J&K that hundreds of cases for the renewal of Provisional Registration of Industrial Units, who has already taken effective steps in respect of construction of Factory Building, Installation of Machinery and in some cases, placed Orders for the Machinery, awaiting the approval of the Apex Committee pending since long and also invited the attention towards the Govt Order No 214-IND of 2021 dated 02-11-2021 for the Constitution of Sub-Committee for examining the proposal for the grant of extension in the validity of Provisional Registration in respect of Units which were provisionally registered prior to the Notification of J&K Industrial Policy 2021-30 in accordance with the directions issued in the meeting of 47th Apex Project Clearance Committee held on 02-09-2021 with the directions to submit the report within a period of seven days. The Association also drew the attention of the Principal Secretary towards the Point No 18.2 of Govt. Order No 129-IND of 2017 dated 07-06-2017. The members requested the Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Jammu to defer the decision taken to start the eviction process till the final decision taken in the next Apex Committee Meeting on the basis of a report to be submitted by the Sub Committee as per Govt. Order No 214-IND of 2021 and issue necessary directions to Managing Director J&K SIDCO in this regard with a request exempt the closed units having Permanent Registration with the Industries Department from the preview of eviction process on the basis of Point No 18.2 of Govt Order NO 129-IND of 2017 dated 07-06-2017. |
