| J&K PYC felicitates budding players of Silambam martial arts game | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 30: J&K Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) today organized felicitation cum interaction programme with the budding players of Silambam martial arts game during a function held at Raipur Domana constituency.
On the occasion, former minister and senior Congress leader, Mula Ram; Uday Bhanu Chib, President J&K PYC and Hari Singh Chib, DCC Jammu Rural President were also present. Besides, Coach Jatin Kumar and Rampal, Vice Chairman of Gomanhasan Municipal Corporation were also present.
Mula said that sport is not limited to the practice of physical activities rather it is a recreational space where a healthy lifestyle is promoted through physical and mental development.
“It is a place where individuals converge to improve their social skills, strengthen cultural values and adapt to rules”, he said.
Mula said that sports not only makes youth physically and mentally fit but also helps in keeping them away from drug menace that has become a great threat to the society today.
Chib, in his address, laid stress on the importance of games and encourage youth of Jammu & Kashmir for their participation in the sports with zeal and enthusiasm so that they can be physically and mental fit. |
