| GDC Jindrah organizes webinar on cyber crime | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 30: Cyber Awareness/ Cyber Jaagrookta Club of Govt Degree College (GDC) Jindrah organized a webinar on ‘Cyber Crime and various ways to become Cyber Smart and Cyber Secure’. Webinar was organized under the guidance of Prof Dr Rajshree Dhar, Principal of the college. Er Vikas Razdaan from JK Department of Relief and Rehabilitation of Migrants who is popularly known as “Cyber Warrior” was the resource person in the webinar. Er Vikas Razdan is computer hacking investigator, cyber security analyst, Associate member of National Cyber Safety and Security Standards (NCSSS) from J&K, delivered a lecture on various forms of cybercrime such as phishing, data theft, identity theft, job frauds, banking frauds, cyber bullying, cyber hacking, child pornography and software piracy in the webinar and elaborated upon various ways to secure ourselves from these crimes. The webinar was very informative and interactive as the students asked questions and raised their queries which had been well answered by the resource person in the concluding interactive session of the webinar. The whole activity was organized by Prof Poonam Rainu, Department of Sociology, she also addressed all the participants formally and Prof Jasneet Kour, Department of Political Science. Dr Seema, Department of Library Sciences presented a formal vote of thanks to all the participants of the webinar. Prof Dr Rajshree Dhar, Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of the whole cyber Jaagrookta Club of the college and congratulated the committee for organizing such an informative webinar on cyber crime. |
