Jammu, Dec 1: GDC Basohli Observed Cybercrime Jaagrookta (Awareness) Diwas today on 01 December 2021, which is an initiative of the Govt. of India. GDC Basohli organised an online lecture on “Introduction to Cyber Crimes”, under the able guidance of Principal, Dr. Nidhi Kotwal. In the welcome address, Dr. Gotam Singh Lalotra briefed the function and talked about the significance of Cybercrime awareness. Dr. Subhash Chandra Yadav, Professor and Head department of Computer Science and technology, Central University Jharkhand, Ranchi, had an interactive session with the students about cybercrimes. In the beginning of his lecture he discussed about the cyber space and later about the security threats being posed by the cyber criminals. He also gave some tips about how to be safe on the online platform in this world of internet. The proceeding of the event was attended online by faculty and students of the college. In her concluding remarks, Dr. Nidhi Kotwal reiterated the importance of awareness about the cybercrimes, she also appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee. The program culminated with the vote of thanks by Dr. Gotam Singh Lalotra. |
