JTC protests enters 425th day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 1: The Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) protests entered 425th day today. Addressing the protesters Shadi Lal Pandita said that we have been protesting for last 425 days as the relief of Kashmiri migrant relief holders is very low which is preventing the relief holders from surviving in this era of inflation. Our first demand is to increase the monthly cash relief of migrant relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month as soon as possible. Pandita said we the Kashmiri migrants who have been living in exile for last 32 years.Govt.is giving us monthly cash relief which is very low. Due to which we are on protest sit-in from 2-10-2020 .Our agitation sit- in will continue as long as our demands are met. Pandita said we are living in sub human conditions and unemployment in our community is at peak. Thousands of youths have become overage and govt. has failed to address their problems. Pandita urged the Government a new package of 20,000 jobs for unemployed youth to be given. Pandita said that firstly one job to be given those homes( families) where no educated youth of the family has yet got a government job till date and also to launch special police recruitment rallies on spot in the Jagti township and other migrant camps for 5000 Migrant youth. |
