GDC Darhal organizes patriotic song competition

RAJOURI, Dec 8: A patriotic solo song competition was organized by Govt. Degree College (GDC) Darhal in which students of the college explored with love and devotion for their motherland. The patriotic songs enthralled the audience and everyone was in patriotic allegiance. Principal of the college Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia congratulated the students of all the three classes Sem-I, Sem-III and Sem-V for participating in the competition related with patriotism. He said that united and patriotic India will be more developed and powerful India.
He told the students that patriotic thinking will always inculcate moral values in them, and love and devotion for their country shall definitely lead to more positive and constructive thinking.
He said that providing a platform to the students to explore their talent and develop their personality is the hallmark of this institution. Dr. Imtiaz Hussain Shah HOD Urdu recited some beautiful quotes related with national and patriotic thinking. In his motivational speech, Dr. Shah said that patriotism is a source of inspiration for the students to follow the great ideals. He applauded the students for their tremendous singing talent. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Riaz HOD Persian. Saima Kosser, Hashim Malik and Mohd Arif were adjudged First, Second and third respectively. Mehrul Nisa and Nazia Tabassum got the consolation prizes. Dr. Asif, Dr. Javaid Ahmad Mir, Mahwish and Farzana were the Jury Members in the song competition. Others present on the occasion were Avez, Safeer and Saddam. The programme was attended by a large number of students of the college.
