Real-estate summit a big fraud: Apni Party
12/29/2021 11:39:35 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 29: Notwithstanding tall claims of the Union Territory (UT) regime, residents of Jammu and Kashmir in general and Jammu province, in particular, are not encouraged or elated with the first-ever ‘real-estate summit’ held at Jammu on Monday.
Gauging peoples’ mood, opposition parties have also exposed the J&K Government for organizing such events by spending crores and crores of rupees from the exchequer of the cash-starved regime.
“There is fraud going on in the name of investment. We are not against investment, we want only the residents of J&K to buy property here. BJP decisions indicate J&K is no more a part of India. No one can forcefully rule here”, the president of Apni Party Altaf Bukhari said while addressing a rally at Srinagar on Wednesday.
“Apni Party has always welcomed the prospective initiatives that are incorporated to uplift the regional economy and benefit the local inhabitant of J&K”, Apni Party observed. “But the Real Estate Summit held in Jammu undermines the Domicile Law that has been introduced to safeguard the rights of the natives of J&K”, the party maintained, adding, “Such moves require majoritarian consent of the locals which can thereafter be implemented by a government elected by the people”.
“The local population has a deep resentment over these arbitrary laws which routinely gives them an impression of disempowerment and adds further to the feeling of alienation”, the party observed.
Apni Party is resolute in its demand that these decisions fall specifically under the domain of an elected government while the current administration must focus on safeguarding the rights of the people, curbing spiking unemployment rates and inflation in the Union Territory.
