UDHAMPUR, Jan 7: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Udhampur Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin like substance from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Udhampur led by SHO PS Udhampur, Insp Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of Addl SP Udhampur, Anwaar Ul Haq and DySP Hqrs Udhampur, Sahil Mahajan at Jakhani naka point, NHW apprehended one person who was roaming suspiciously and tried to conceal his presence on seeing police party.
He disclosed his identity as Sanjay Kumar, S/o Kaku Ram, R/O Ward No 17, Omara Morh, Udhampur. On frisking the person, Police recovered 13 grams of contraband heroin like narcotic substance and arrested the accused on spot.
In this regard case FIR No 10/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Udhampur and further investigation into matter has been taken up. |
