JAMMU, Jan 7: A minor girl aged 15 years was found alone on railway station, Jammu by the child help desk.
Accordingly a diary entry was registered with the Railway Police Force and the girl was produced before the child welfare committee.
With the efforts of the child welfare committee, Jammu and District Child Protection Officer Jharkhand, the family of the girl was traced, today they reached Jammu and the custody of the girl was handed over to her parents after proper verification and legal formalities.
Giving the details of the case, Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, Jammu, Shalini Sharma informed that the girl was found abandoned in Jammu by railway child Helpdesk on January 3, 2022. She was placed before CWC Jammu for shelter and rehabilitation. The girl was placed in govt. shelter home Jammu, Trikuta Nagar for short term stay till pending inquiry. |
