YCET organizes online webinar on “Block Chain Technology”

JAMMU, Jan 7: The Department of Electrical Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized a webinar on “A Road Map towards Innovation in Block Chain Technology” for Electrical Engineering & Computer Science students today.
Block Chain is a combination of blocks that store data publicly and in sequential order. It was intended to record the time digital documents, so alteration is not possible. A Block Chain is based on the concept of distributed ledger that anyone can join it.
The session began with welcome address by Er. Loveneesh Talwar, HOD (Electrical Engineering). Er. Dinesh Gupta, President IIC Cell and Dean Acadmics YCET briefed about IIC Cell.
The resource person for the session was Pranav Ratta, Faculty, MCA Kathua Campus University of Jammu. He started the session with the introduction of Block Chain. He explained that block chain is a database that stores information electronically in digital format. Block chains are best known for their crucial role in crypto currency systems, such as Bitcoin, for maintaining a secure and decentralized record of transactions. .The students were fortunate to have got the chance to attend this session for increasing their knowledge and creative extravagance along with the expert. The guests remained highly commemorative of the efforts for organizing session.
Prof. (Dr.) A. K. Srivastava, Director, YCET appreciated the efforts of Electrical & CSE / IT Department and motivated the students to start their own industries and become job giver instead of job seeker. He said that such session will be very helpful to the students. The session was coordinated by Er. Robin Kumar (Coordinator) of CSE department who also gave a formal vote of thanks.
