GDC Kathua organizes “Class Talk” on Swami Vivekananda | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Jan 7: The NSS units of Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua today organized a “Class Talk” on the coming 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. As per the direction of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India and NSS Regional Directorate New Delhi these programmes are being organized under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. The theme of the today’s class talk was Life history and Achievements of Swami Vivekananda. More than fifty volunteers participated in the class talk and talked about the life and Achievements of Swami Vivekananda. The volunteers discussed topics such as the birth of Swami, Chicago’s Sarva Dharma Sabha, getting him the title of Swami and taking the country’s culture to an International level. NSS Programme Officer Prof Manmohan Singh also threw light on the life and achievement of Swami Vivekananda. He said that Swami is a youth icon for the young generation of India as well as world. He also appealed the volunteers to spread the message of Swami “Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached” in the young generation of your respective areas. The entire activity was conducted under the patronage of Incharge Principal Prof Raj Kiran Sharma and supervision of NSS Program Officers. The programme was concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof Neha Bandral. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Prof Ritu Kumar Sharma. |
