EC should ban donations for political parties: Tony
1/23/2022 11:53:14 PM
Early Times Report

SUCHETGARH, Jan 23: Leveling serious charges against the BJP, DDC Member Suchetgarh Taranjit Singh Tony on Sunday alleged that micro-donation campaign launched by the saffron brigade is nothing but the novel way to turn its black money into white to later use the same for lure probable turncoats of opposition parties. He demanded that the Election Commission of India should immediately ban donations for political parties.
In a statement issued to media here, Tony said that political parties should learn from the Bharatiya Janata Party the thousand ways to clean the black money without getting caught or exposed.
He said that micro-donation launched by BJP is nothing but open loot and the people should stay away from such tactics of the party as the same are the part of gamut to turn its black money into election money.
The DDC member demanded that a credible independent body should be asked to hold the audit of all the political parties to put an end to such corrupt practices once and for all.
He said that micro funding should be used to improve the status of education, providing drinking water and medical infra but unfortunately the private limited company BJP is using the same to construct five star offices of the party and to woo political opponents.
The DDC Member said that if people really want to contribute to nation building they should donate money to NGOs or other entities having an immaculate track record rather than giving the same to BJP which is known for its expertise in horse trading after losing elections.
Tony said that it will be good for the country if the practice of political donations should be stopped and parties should be made accountable for each and every single paisa they receive in their accounts.
He advised the people having intentions of doing some noble cause for the society to form groups and adopt government schools or health centres and do the needful instead of diverting their money into the ‘black-holes’ viz political parties where there is no transparency, accountability or truthfulness regarding the funds.
