| Sunrise Public School celebrates National Girl Child Day | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 25: National Girl Child Day was celebrated in Sunrise Public School, Channi Himmat Jammu.
The day was celebrated with organized programs including awareness campaigns about Save the Girl Child, child sex ratio, and the creation of a healthy and safe environment for girls.
Rajesh Sharma, founder of Sunrise Public School, addressed the students and gave lecture on save girl child.
A competition between girls and boys was organized in which two girls and one boy emerged winners.
Director, Manpreet Kour explained the importance of girls to the families of children studying in the school. On the occasion of National Girl Child Day we had also distributed warm wear, books and eatable thing to the children. The students enjoyed the day.
The main motive behind the celebration of this day was to spread awareness among people about inequalities faced by girls in the country, to promote awareness about the rights of girl children, to increase awareness on the importance of female education, health, and nutrition. |
