Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu solemnizes Republic Day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 25: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu solemnized the Republic Day by strengthening the efforts for “A DRUG FREE NATION” in association with NCCHWO (National corruption control & Human welfare organization) led by J&K Head, Brigadier Harcharan Singh to foster the patriotic qualities in the youth and to bring awareness about drug menace. Vinay Sharma (SSP Anti- Narcotics Force), Col. Virender Sahi (VrC), Brig. Harcharan Singh (VSM) and Rajesh Padha (JRG) graced the occasion. The participants said that Republic Day reminds us of the adoption of the Constitution on 26 January 1950, made possible due to sacrifices of freedom fighters during freedom struggle. SSP, Anti Narcotics Task Force, J&K, NCCHWO & JSS pledged for a joint programme to spread the message of negative effects of drugs, which are spoiling the health of youth and affecting the security of nation. Col. Sahi gave motivational address about 1971 war experience and emphasized that freedom demands sacrifices from both citizens and the soldiers. An online painting competition among students of various age categories was also conducted on patriotic theme and drug menace. The winners selected by the expert panel were felicitated with appreciation certificates by the illustrious personalities of anti narcotic task force and NCCHWO. |
