Weather to remain dry in J&K | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Jan 25: Amid a generally cloudy weather, light to moderate snowfall lashed prats of the Kashmir Valley on Tuesday, the Meteorological Department said. A fog enveloped the plains of Jammu region. The Department has forecast fair to partly cloudy weather throughout Jammu and Kashmir till January 29, with moderate to dense fog in the morning hours in the plains of Jammu. There could be light rains or snow on January 31. The night temperature slightly improved in Gulmarg at minus 9.2 degree Celsius on Tuesday against minus 9.5 degrees the previous night. The summer capital Srinagar recorded a low of 1.8 degrees against 2.8 degrees a day earlier. Pahalgam in south Kashmir dipped to minus 2.5 degrees. Qazigund on the Srinagar-Jammu highway settled on sub zero temperature for a second consecutive day on Tuesday. Kokernag in south Kashmir recorded minus 0.4 degrees Celsius. The frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara also experienced 0.4 degrees. |
