Maha govt to allow 25 pc crowd for IPL | | | agencies MUMBAI, Mar 1: Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) and Maharashtra Cricket Association (MHCA) have been given permission to allow 25 percent of crowds inside the stadiums for the Indian Premier League. MCA and MHCA will be hosting the 15th edition of the IPL in Mumbai (55 games) and Pune (15 games), respectively. Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray met MCA officials on February 27 and promised all help for the IPL and agreed to allow 25 percent of crowds, Cricbuzz reported. The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) accommodated over 10,000 spectators for the third T20I match between India and Sri Lanka on February 27. Although the immediate first Test against Sri Lanka from March 4 to 8 in Mohali will see no crowds at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, the second Test in Bengaluru will welcome the spectators at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has confirmed that 50 percent crowds (about 15,000) will be allowed from March 12 to 16 for the day-night game. |
