‘Berozgar Se Swarozgar’-another cruel joke with unemployed youth
3/6/2022 11:51:02 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 6: Very much like other schemes of the incumbent Jammu and Kashmir Government, ‘Berozgar Se Swarozgar’ is another cruel joke with unemployed youth of the Union Territory.
Although the bureaucratic government in J&K claimed that this scheme was launched to provide adequate job opportunities to the youth and make them self-dependent, the authorities have failed to give the exact number of youth who have been provided benefits under this scheme.
Highly placed sources said that instead of giving benefits of this scheme to deserving candidates, only influential persons, who are already running the broad business of their families, have taken benefits of such schemes.
Instead of disclosing names of youth with their addresses and parentage, the Jammu and Kashmir government is issuing vague handouts just to mislead the Union Government like other schemes.
Many unemployed youths have dared the authorities to come up with the full details of those who have been given benefits of various self-employment schemes during the last one and half years.
Sources said that hundreds of loan cases under the self-employment schemes have been pending in different banks but poor unemployed youth are not getting load due to the economic conditions.
“Kin of big businessmen are taking benefits of self-employment schemes because banks are not ready to take any risk”, sources said and added that instead of giving direction to the banks to give loans to unemployed youth, authorities are just busying in issuing statements for cheap publicity. The government, on the other hand, claimed that ‘Berozgar Se Swarozgar Scheme’ is part of a 10-point campaign initiated by the government to give a renewed push to the implementation of employment and other beneficiary-oriented schemes on the ground.
The objective of the 10 point campaign is to achieve quantifiable results within specific timelines, in an effort to touch the lives of ordinary citizens at the grassroots level.
