| Apni Party stages protest in support of NHM employees, seeks regularization of daily wagers | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 12: Apni Party leaders today staged a protest demonstration in favour of NHM employees seeking continuation of their contract. Led by Provincial Secretary/ District President Jammu Urban, Dr Rohit Gupta and President, Apni Trade Union, Aijaz Kazmi, the protesters assembled here to protest in support of the NHM workers.
During their demonstration, the protesters shouted slogans in support of their demands and urged the government to accept their long pending demand for the welfare of the people. Dr Rohit said that the government has not been able to work as per the wishes of the people which they show in the press statements through the Information Department.
Meanwhile, President, Apni Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi said that the situation has not changed with the takeover of LG Govt in J&K after 2019.
“Instead, the daily wagers have been facing discrimination with regard to their regularization as the government is trying to divide them into different segments. We strongly oppose division of daily wagers. The government should regularize all the daily wagers in one go. J&K has over 61,000 daily wagers who are the backbone of various Govt departments,” he said. |
