Terrorists striking at will and killing the non-locals and locals has once again created fear in Kashmir. The cold blooded murders of civilians have once again revealed that terror has no religion and anyone can fall prey to bullets of the terrorists.
On Monday terrorist struck at Kakapora Railway Station in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district and fired upon two Railway Police Force personnel killing one of them on the spot and injuring another critically. Both the RPF men were unarmed when they were attacked by the terrorists.
Earlier this month the terrorists had fired upon two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) men at Maisuma in heart of Srinagar city from a close range. Ultras responsible for the attack on CRPF men were killed by the security forces in an encounter recently.
Besides attacking the security force personnel the terrorists have been targeting non-locals to create fear and are making an attempt to make them flee the Valley. The violence continuing in Kashmir has proven it beyond doubt that Pakistan has not given up and is making every possible attempt to keep the pot boiling. The neighbouring country is in no mood to allow people of Kashmir to live in peace. Pakistani ultras have infiltrated into Kashmir and they are choosing soft targets to ensure that uncertainty keeps on prevailing and somehow normal life remains disrupted.
The situation in Kashmir is far from normal and the claims about normalcy being restored are being punctured daily. Killings have to stop for normalcy to return. Till terrorists keep on striking at will, no one can claim that the normalcy has returned.
There are reports that many terrorists are waiting at the launching pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). The terrorist bosses are making every possible attempt to send them across the LoC to keep the pot boiling.
Despite ceasefire being in vogue along LoC, Pakistan is not mending its ways and seems least interested in working towards establishing peace in the region.
Soon after Shahbaz Sharif took over as the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his message to the Pakistan premiere expressed India’s desire to live in peace in the atmosphere free of terror. But how the things are shaping up in Kashmir prove it beyond doubt that India’s rogue neighbor wants uncertainty and chaos to prevail.
