4/29/2022 11:12:19 PM

EARLY TIMES REPORT

RAMNAGAR, Apr 29: Residents of Kella village in Ramnagar tehsil today staged a protest demonstration against the Power Development Department (PDD) for failing to repair or replace the damaged transformer in their area. The protesters said that the entire locality was without electricity for the last two days but the PDD authorities did nothing to replace the damaged transformer.
The protesters raised slogans against the PDD department and demanded to replace their damaged transformer on priority and if it is not possible then repair it at the earliest.
The protesters including women alleged that the officials of the PDD when informed that the transformer got damaged and needed to be replaced but they blatantly refused to do so, adding that due to the fault in the transformer there is no power in their area for the last two days.
The protesters said that the PDD has failed to replace their damaged transformer, alleging it to be a reason for their immense hardships.
“We are being forced to reel under darkness from the past two days as the authorities don’t even bother to look into the matter,” they said.
